ABOUT

Ecology Art.
I am a freelance artist / illustrator living in Baja Sur, Mexico, and San Diego, California. Formally trained in Fine Art and Design from Humboldt State University ('97), my focus is Natural History Illustration; signage for parks, museums and aquariums., Mural Paintings, and Fine Art. My greatest motivation is connecting people to the beauty of nature.
My current projects are updated regularly on Instagram @galeria.cami.la
WORK: I strive to create cohesion on each cooperative piece. My work is hand-illustrated using traditional pen and ink with watercolors on illustration board, so many early drafts are made before embarking on the final piece. Ultimately, the final illustration is scanned in high-resolution and edited with InDesign to add text, background (when applicable) and headings. Clients can expect regular communication sorting design details and working together to come up with exactly whats needed for each project.
Below are some of the clients I've worked with:

Tecolote Nature Center, San Diego, California
Resource Conservation District, San Diego, California
